$1,000 Challenge To Aspiring Filmmakers, Web Video Producers and Other Indomitable Creatives

Thank you to everyone who submitted a video! All of the winners are posted on the Roller Videos page, and a compilation video is the featured episode on the homepage. You can check out all the submissions here. Some are really funny, some are touching, and most of them make you want to ride. Thanks very much, everyone, for all your hard work.




 

RULES:

No purchase necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. Maximum one entry per person or organization.
Video entries must be submitted as a video response to our YouTube Challenge video (www.youtube.com/r0ckmoto) by January 31, 2010, at 11:59 pm PST. Video cannot exceed 5 minutes in length, inclusive of titles and credits. Video must meet YouTube guidelines for file format and file size. RockMoto®* is not responsible for any computer or internet failure of any kind which delays or prevents transmission of an entry to YouTube or RockMoto.

Video Content Guidelines:
Entries cannot contain any Content (defined as moving or still images, text, dialog, or music) copyrighted by others. You represent and warrant that: (i) you own the Content, or have express written permission to submit the Content you’ve submitted, and (ii) the Content does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person or entity. You agree to pay all royalties, fees, and any other monies owed to any person or entity due to your submission of any Content.

ockMoto will not consider any video that depicts scenes of disregard for the rider’s own safety or the safety of other traffic or bystanders (including blatant displays of speed or stunting on public roads). Do not submit Content that would defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, or trademark rights) of others. This includes a prohibition on using a photograph or video of someone without their consent in your entry. Other

Content that would be unacceptable for this contest includes:

- Violence
- Imagery of injury or death
- Inappropriate language
- Nudity / sexually explicit content of any kind
- Sexual innuendo / sexist content
- Racial, ethnic, or religious slurs
- Hate language


The bottom line is this: do not submit Content which would not be permitted on U.S. primetime broadcast television.

Entries will be reviewed by a panel of RockMoto associates, whose decisions are final. Winners will be notified by email. Winning videos, and the name and state of the submitters, will be posted on RockMoto.com on or after February 1, 2010. Prizes are $1,000 for 1st place, $500 each for 2 runners-up, and $250 each for 3 honorable mentions. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received and the quality of the videos. If no videos meet RockMoto standards, no prizes will be awarded.
By submitting a video to RockMoto, you are allowing RockMoto to air the video in any manner and medium whatsoever, with no compensation (other than any prize money awarded to you).

The contest is open only to legal residents of the U.S. age 18 and over. Employees of RockMoto and its affiliates and their families are not eligible to win the contest.

All taxes are the responsibility of winners. Prize winners must sign a statement of eligibility and a publicity release.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY:
You acknowledge that: (a) there are DANGERS AND RISK OF INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE that exist in your use of motorcycles; (b) your action to produce a video for this contest may result in injury including, but not limited to, BODILY INJURY, STRAINS, FRACTURES, PARTIAL OR TOTAL PARALYSIS, OTHER AILMENTS THAT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS DISABILITY, OR DEATH; (c) these risks and dangers may arise from foreseeable or unforeseeable causes; and (d) you, on behalf of yourself, your personal representatives and your heirs, hereby assume all risks and all responsibility, and agree to release the Motorcycle Industry Council, its affiliates and their officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively “ROCKMOTO”) for any injuries, deaths, losses and/or damages.

By taking action to produce a video for this contest, you agree and understand that, on behalf of yourself, your personal representatives and your heirs, you are relinquishing any and all rights you now have or may have in the future to sue ROCKMOTO for any and all injury, death, or property damage you may suffer arising from motorcycle riding or any other action in the production of the video, including claims based on allegations of ROCKMOTO’s negligence.


By taking action to produce a video for this contest, YOU AGREE IT IS YOUR INTENTION TO ASSUME ALL RISKS AND RELEASE ROCKMOTO FROM LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, WRONGFUL DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OR ANY OTHER CAUSE, and you acknowledge you understand the terms and meaning of this DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY section.

INDEMNIFICATION:
BY TAKING ACTION TO PRODUCE A VIDEO FOR THIS CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS ROCKMOTO FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LOSSES, EXPENSES, DAMAGES AND COSTS, INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS' FEES, RESULTING FROM ANY SUCH ACTION. You further agree, on behalf of yourself, your personal representatives and your heirs, agree to hold harmless, defend, and indemnify ROCKMOTO from any and all claims, suits, or causes of action by others for bodily injury, death, property damage, or other damages which may arise out of your production of a video for this contest, including claims arising from allegations of ROCKMOTO’s or any other party’s negligence.
