We created RockMoto to help you find the music and the motorcycles that speak to your soul, and help you meet other people to share it all with. Who are we? Discover Today's Motorcycling®, the communications branch of the not-for-profit Motorcycle Industry Council. We've been funded by the major Japanese motorcycle manufacturers – Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha– for over 20 years. Our mission is to get more people on motorcycles the right way: by getting safety training, getting licensed and wearing proper protective gear. We promote safe riding through mainstream media and with the help of celebrities. We also test a lot of bikes, watch motorcycle racing and go for rides with journalists. It is as badass a job as it sounds.
Motorcycling is a lot more fun when you know what you're doing, when you ride a bike that fits you and when you can deal with the traffic around you. That's why RockMoto has a whole section devoted to rider education, with information about getting into motorcycling and choosing the right bike, and links to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. And since we believe in wearing protective gear and promoting a positive image of motorcyclists, you'll never see us or our featured guests riding without helmets, or riding like idiots on public roads.
We're also here to help you with your own two-wheeled adventures, so feel free to contact us at info@rockmoto.com with questions about motorcycling. We're not associated with any dealers, and we don't service or sell bikes, so there may be some things we can't help with. But we'll do our best to point you in the right direction.
And, finally, below is the boilerplate we attach to all communications, which our lawyer makes us do. He rode his Honda VTX1300 coast-to-coast to work here, and then he picked up a limited-edition Victory Cory Ness Jackpot in Wisconsin and rode that here too. We tend to listen to him.
Discover Today's Motorcycling®, the communications service bureau of the Motorcycle Industry Council, is a source of information about motorcycling to the media and the general public. DTM is funded by the American-based operations of Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki, and supported by more than 300 MIC member companies. Located in Irvine, Calif., the MIC is a not-for-profit national trade association representing manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, scooters, motorcycle parts and accessories, and members of allied trades.
